The Case Of Too Much Tile

When it came time to tile the kitchen floor and the bathroom floor and walls, Mr. Paul Zysk referred me to:

Lewis Flooring Inc
10950 Old Highway 21
Hillsboro, MO 63050
Phone: 636-797-2487

I already had floor tile that I had found at another store, but I needed someone to install it. … I went to Lewis Flooring and picked out a light bisque wall tile that I liked, plus a slightly darker, alternate color, that could be used later on if a roughed in bathroom in the basement was ever finished.

Lewis flooring came and measured to calculate the amount of wall tile needed and for the amount of underlayment to go under the tile in the kitchen and bathroom floors.

To make as long story short, after the bathroom walls were done, I had half the tile I had paid for left over. … I also had twice as much of the darker color tile than it would take to finish the other bathroom.

Mr. Lewis, what happened? Why was  I sold twice as much tile as was needed to do the job?
